One name on every job.
Austin roofing
Started at eighteen. Forty-five now.
Benny started at eighteen. Forty-five now. Twenty-seven straight years on roofs and nothing else. He works twenty-five days a month, takes Sunday off, and is on a job every other one. He installs every system Central Texas asks of him. Architectural asphalt, snap-lock standing seam, concrete tile, clay tile, DaVinci synthetic slate, modified bitumen on flat commercial decks. What separates him from the rest of the Austin roofing market is the one thing nobody teaches in a sales meeting. He understands how water moves. Engineers who studied roof drainage through a four-year program do not know what Benny knows about where a Hill Country storm pushes water on a 9:12 pitch. He builds the custom flashings, the chimney crickets, and the welded penetration details by hand on your driveway. He is one of two or three roofers in the Austin metro who still do this work to manufacturer-warranty standard. Austin Area Roofers exists to put his name on every roof we touch.
What he is actually known for.
Most Austin roofers do shingles. Some can do metal. A handful can install tile correctly. Benny does all of it. What he is actually known for across the Austin metro is the detail work the other crews subcontract out.
- ›Water-flow engineering on Hill Country pitches that most roofers and most college-trained engineers cannot diagram
- ›Hand-built crickets behind every chimney and roof penetration so water sheds instead of pools
- ›Custom welded flashings, copper-leaded chimney work, and hand-set lead boots that outlast the shingle
- ›Standing seam metal hand-folded, hand-snapped, and hand-welded at every transition
- ›Re-roof and full restoration of Central Texas historic builds in Tarrytown, Pemberton Heights, Old Enfield, and Bryker Woods
- ›Two-layer underlayment and six-nail-per-shingle high-wind specifications for exposed Hill Country sites
How a Hurricane Rita roofer came home to Austin.
Dennis cut his teeth in roofing in 2005, in the storm-recovery wake of Hurricanes Rita and Katrina. Three years working roofs in Beaumont, Texas. He came home to Austin to build the operation alongside his brother-in-law Benny, because in his own words, Benny is that guy in roofing.
Dennis runs operations, customer experience, and the REPS family of companies. The storm-recovery roofer in his first chapter became the operator who keeps the trucks on schedule, the warranties registered, and the homeowner answered through to close.
The REPS family of companies.
REPS of Texas is a family-built operation founded by Benny and his brother-in-law Dennis. Benny brought twenty-seven years of master-tier craftsmanship out of a trade he has known since he was eighteen. Dennis brought the storm-tested operations side from three years in Beaumont after Hurricanes Rita and Katrina. Together they run Austin Area Roofers as the roofing division of the REPS family of companies. Every install carries Benny's name. Every estimate is walked by Benny personally. No subcontracted strangers, no franchise crews, no day-labor. The only way the quality stays where it is is to keep it in the family.

IKO · Decra · DaVinci.
Three premium manufacturer master tiers. Few crews in Central Texas hold all three. Most warranties require certified install for full coverage.
